Holiday Food Truck Festival
If you’re looking for something a little different when you go on your Christmas lights tour, you might just want to head on over to Balboa Park. Once dusk sets in, the lights will come on, and that’s just one part of the magic. Tons of San Diego’s top food trucks will be parked and ready to serve for five days in total. Have a whale of a time with free live entertainment and lots of fun activities, but yes, if you’re looking to smile with a full tummy, this is the place to be.

Parade Of Lights
It’s not every day that you’ll get to experience a literal sea of lights, so why not wander over to San Diego Bay on December 16th to enjoy the sight of more than 80 beautifully lighted private boats decorated to this year’s theme, ‘Tropical Island Christmas’. Since it’s their 46th year, you can bet that this is something that most people look forward to. There are quite a few good viewing spots to choose from, and they include the Coronado Island Marriott Resort and Coronado Ferry Landing.

Enchanted: Forest of Light
At Descanso Gardens, lights aren’t the only thing you’ll get to enjoy. This year’s interactive nighttime experience is perfectly family-friendly, so bring everyone over. The unique one-mile walk features different themes (areas), such as “Celestial Shadows”, “Aqueous”, “Lightwave Lake”, and many more, so be sure to visit. Oh yes, if you’re looking forward to an adult drink, there’s also an adjacent whiskey bar serving up delicious spiked ciders.
